The project aims to address the imbalance caused by the channeling of the Tordera River in its delta. It proposes expanding the floodable area to allow the coexistence of agriculture and floods, as well as establishing a new nature reserve for migratory birds. Additionally, it suggests changing the irrigation system from wells to a traditional irrigation system using boqueras. To redirect water to the fields in a controlled manner, the construction of dikes and controlled mouths is proposed.

Furthermore, the project intends to improve connectivity between the promenade and the farmer’s paths by creating elevated walkways surrounded by vegetation, camouflaged with local reed in the nature reserve areas. These pedestrian paths will benefit residents, tourists, birds, and farmers in the area.
