This architectural project, conceived as a dialogue with Moroccan tradition, aims to revitalize contemporary architecture in Casablanca through a new airport terminal. Drawing inspiration from the Hassan II Mosque, it successfully integrates traditional elements with a contemporary aesthetic.
The public spaces were designed to provide passengers with a seamless and cohesive experience, extending the exterior concept into the interior of the building. The intricate geometry and ornamental patterns characteristic of Moroccan architecture were reinterpreted and adapted to meet the functional needs of an airport, creating a welcoming and authentic atmosphere.
The project was developed in collaboration with MIR (visualization) and TYPSA (engineering). The use of local materials and the integration of natural elements helped create a space that connects travelers with Morocco’s rich cultural heritage
